Gather and input viticulture information into AgCode database such as crop estimation (cluster counts, cluster weights, berry counts, berry weights) and field observations for pests, diseases and virus.
Remove, deploy, inspect and identify insects in appropriate traps. Sweep net, scout and ID pest and beneficial insects in the vineyards
Using IPM techniques to monitor vine health status for insect, diseases, virus and nutrition status. Report findings to Vineyard Management team via AgCode, email and team meetings.
Measure vine water stress – by conducting leaf water potentials
Help collect soil, water and plant tissue (leafs, blades) samples; as well as sample for virus as appropriate. Help maintain vineyard sampling data
May be asked to train and work with vineyard interns to support viticulture data collection, especially crop estimation. Help train and educate vineyard crews on pest, ideas and virus.
Help with harvest vineyard maturity sampling by collecting samples, taking field brix, and taking samples to the appropriate winery labs for analysis.
Assist vineyard management team with any special projects such as research projects, safety, compliance and communication.
Attend relevant viticulture seminars and continuing education to stay current on vineyard issues. Share learnings with management team.
Responsible for compliance with CBI sustainability policies and practices which are economically viable, socially acceptable and environmentally sound. This is done by supporting programs at each location for farming sustainably, conservation, energy efficiency, and recycling, which are critical for our operations to achieve tangible environmental results.
Safety-follow safe operating procedures, support safety programs and policies to safeguard personal safety, company property, environmental and team member’s safety.

Ability to work continuously in a standing and/or seated position for long periods of time
Ability to stand and walk over rough terrain in an predominantly outdoor environment
Work Outdoors in warm/cold climates
Requires frequent and repetitive bending
Will be exposed to temperature fluctuations, insects, reptiles, equipment noise, dust and at times chemicals and fertilizers
