Volt Workforce Solutions is actively recruiting a Director of Operations for a reputable company located in Paso Robles CA. As the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for directing the manufacturing operations, developing and implements plans to efficiently utilize materials, labor, and equipment. Ensuring compliance with safety standards, policies, and regulations.
The essential functions of the Director of Operations are as follows:
Plans and monitors day to day business to ensure that goals are met.
Ensures schedules and quality standards are achieved to maintain and improve customer satisfaction and operational stability.
Drives continuous process improvement initiatives in order to improve quality and financial performance.
Ensures teams are deployed, leveraged, and supported in the most advantageous manner. Resolves issues by focusing first on improving processes. Works to improve the level of knowledge and competence of team members.
Keeps up-to-date on information and technology affecting functional areas to increase innovation and ensure compliance.
Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability.
Develops, monitors, and reports on operating costs within functional areas.
Hires, trains, develop and appraise team members effectively. Takes corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with the company policies and in collaboration with Human Resources.
Embraces the work culture and serves as a role model for principles, values and assumptions.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
Masters or Bachelor’s degree in business and/or engineering or any relevant field or equivalent experience.
Experience leading manufacturing organizations in a highly regulated medical device/component environment.
10+ years’ experience; Five years management responsibility.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledgeable of production, quality, scheduling, and customer service.
Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
Experience with lean manufacturing concepts.
Understanding of business finances. Able to analyze data, identify trends, make recommendations and provide sound business reason to implement changes.
